Symptoms
Even with
Inventory Control setup appropriately, products that are out of stock are still appearing on the site or displaying a false 'In Stock' message.
Cause
The database inventory table for the product variant has attributes that still contain inventory data. This is usually caused by deleted variant attributes, which are retained in the database Inventory table.
Solution
Delete the invalid attributes for the variant from the Inventory table in the database, or set their inventory values to zero. If unsure how to do this safely, consult a database manager to perform the edits. Always backup the database before editing.
