Symptoms
In the Admin Console of ML8 when attempting to expand the menu tree an error is thrown: 'Error loading callback data'
Cause
The Managed Pipeline Mode for the site's AppPool in IIS is probably using Integrated Mode. Another consideration is that there might be a special character that causes this problem, such as a trademark-symbol or accent.
Solution
Set the Managed Pipeline Mode for the site's AppPool in IIS to Classic.
Otherwise, remove any special characters from the names, save the web.config file again in any editor and delete your browser's cache.
