My System Log will not show any new errors

I'm getting an error that says I should be able to view the error in my System Log (Configuration > Maintenance > View System Log), but when I view the log, there is no new error.

There is a limit set with the AppConfig: System.MaxLogEntries that is by default 250 entries. When this limit is reached, the log will no longer populate entries.

Increase the value for the AppConfig, or clear the log. You can Export the current log entries to a .txt file for archiving if you wish, and then click the 'Clear System Log' button to empty the log.
