Why are my Pack Products not functioning?

Symptoms
I have setup Pack Products, but can't get them to work on the storefront.
Cause
Pack Products functionality has been removed since the introduction to ML 9. There are buttons and such remaining in the software, but there is no longer any functionality or way to make them work. These leftovers will be removed in a future service pack or edition. Unfortunately packs were not a popular option and utilization extremely rare. There are of course stores that did use them successfully, and to them we apologize.
Solution
Most pack type products can be setup using the 'Kit Products'.
