Topics do not update right away after resetting the cache

Synopsis
After editing a topic, sometimes it does not seem to update right away after you have reset the cache.

Procedure
You can try the following steps:

1 - Turn caching off by going to Misc -> AppConfig Parameters, CacheMenus should be false.
2 - Click Reset Cache
3 - Test the topic
4 - Turn caching back on

or

Set the CacheDurationMinutes AppConfig to a lower value to make the topics update more quickly.  Please note that if this is set too low, it will have a negative impact on site performance.

If it does not work and the topic still doesn't update, reset the site.  Resetting the site can be done in many ways; these are the easiest ways to do it:

A - Touch the web.config (FTP it down, open it, save it, and FTP it back up)

B - Log into your hosting control panel, switch the version of .NET to 1.1, apply, and then switch back to 2.0
Note:  Make sure you switch it back and apply.

C - Recycle the app pool in IIS manager, right click the app pool your site is assigned to and click restart.

After doing one of these, there are no circumstances that it will not cause your new or changed topics to start showing.  If the topic still does not show, make sure that you have not configured something improperly like assigning the topic to a different skin ID.
