Why is my new skin not showing?


Symptoms
A new skin has been installed but the software continues to display the old skin.

Cause
The skin is cookied, or the software has not been told which skin to use.

Solution
Make sure that the DefaultSkinID AppConfig is set to the skin # you want to use (versions 9.0.1.3 and older), and set the Skin ID from the Configuration - Store Maintenance - Domains tab per store (9.0.1.3SP1 and newer). Also, skins are cookied, so once the site has been visited once, the browser will continue to use the skinID that was in use when the site was first visited. To reset this, clear your browser cache/cookies and visit the site again.
